Stories to Share: Amplifying Survivor Voices
We recognize the role of lived experience in promoting healing and serving as an important method of prevention by creating change and offering hope for those who might be considering suicide or who have lost someone to suicide. US works to amplify the voices of people with lived experience to share with audiences by compiling, promoting and helping to facilitate the development of survivor stories. We collect and compile stories from course graduates, program participants, and the Lived Experience Collective Community at US. Browse our lived-experience led collection below.
Story Submissions
United Suicide Survivors International serves as a platform to leverage the voices of lived experience to advocate for system, policy and culture change to prevent suicide by sharing stories of peer-to-peer inspiration, storytelling in action, and upstream advocacy in line with US’s Amplification Guidelines. We collect and compile stories from course graduates, program participants, and the Lived Experience Collective Community at US. People with lived experience and stories to share are also welcome to submit them here.
